It began with one scratch, on one bag, and a refusal to accept that beautiful things are simply meant to show wear.
Where it started
From my worst nightmare to your fearless confidence
At 23, I had finally saved enough for my first designer handbag. A beautiful Mulberry that I displayed like precious art.
Then came the devastation. After just one use, I found a scratch on the hardware. I was heartbroken.
If this happened on the first carry, what would my investment look like in six months
Most people told me that is simply how luxury works, that beautiful things are meant to show wear. I could not accept it. We protect our phone screens, so why not our handbags.
I searched for a solution, convinced there had to be something out there. There was nothing. So I decided to create what did not exist.
I invested my savings and found a UK supplier who thought my request was completely bizarre. After months of prototypes and countless revisions, I finally held an invisible way to protect hardware that let me carry my bag without fear.
The difference, unretouched
The accidental beginning
Fifteen sets, overnight
My family suggested I try selling them on eBay. Honestly, I thought they were mad. Despite having no e-commerce experience at all, I created the most basic listing imaginable. Fifteen sets sold overnight.
Walking with my mum the next morning, my phone would not stop pinging. Then reality arrived: no envelopes, no stamps, no label printer, nothing at all. We drove into our small town and bought the nicest supplies I could find, and I hand-wrote every thank-you note and every address, terrified of what people would think.
Then the five-star reviews began, along with the loveliest messages. Collectors were sharing my listing in handbag groups I had never heard of.
Beautifully chaotic
A world I never knew existed
Suddenly I had discovered this incredible handbag world, with tens of thousands of passionate collectors in it. The messages and requests were overwhelming.
Within a week I had paid fifteen pounds for a logo, built my first website from YouTube tutorials, and officially launched. We expanded quickly to protect over 250 designer styles. My brother and my boyfriend, now my husband, helped with the intricate measurements while Mum helped with packaging.
Beyond hardware
Collectors needed more than protection
I had experienced colour transfer and staining myself, with no idea how to care for luxury leather properly and no one to ask. So I enrolled in leather training courses, consulted experts, and began a long stretch of product development.
The result is our three-step care system: cleanse, condition, protect. Every formula is made in England, and every one is tested on my own collection first.
Why it matters
If I do not love it, we do not launch it
My determination comes from my own struggle, and from having no one to ask. I never want a collector to feel the way I felt looking at that first scratch.
Every product is tested on my personal collection before it reaches anyone else. The numbers are lovely, but they are not the point. The point is the collectors who now carry their investments with confidence rather than fear.
